The Qur'an
Recitation Mastery & Ijāzah Pathway

Structured 3-Phase Programme

Start Date: Sunday 7th September 2025

Study the Qur’an with
Authenticity & Excellence

Masār ut-Tilāwah is a structured 3-phase Qur’an recitation journey for students aiming to build fluency, deepen their Tajweed knowledge, and earn Ijāzah with Sanad a connected chain of Qur’anic transmission that links back to the Prophet Muhammadﷺ.

This programme begins with mastery of Ḥafṣ and Shuʿbah ʿan ʿĀṣim (Phase 1), expands to include the seven canonical Qirā’āt through Shaatibiyyah (Phase 2), and culminates in the ʿAsharah Qirā’āt certification using Durrah al-Muḍīyyah(Phase 3).

Delivered in small-group sessions by a qualified Qārī holding Ijāzah in all 10 Qirā’āt, this pathway preserves the traditional sanad-based method of Qur’anic learning and enables students to earn authentic certification and teaching authority

What is an Ijāzah?

Ijazah (إجازة) is a formal license granted to a student by a qualified teacher to teach and transmit the Qur’an with precision. It is issued only after the student recites the entire Qur’an with accuracy, fulfilling the standards of the sanad tradition.

What is an Sanad?

Sanad (سند) is the unbroken chain of teachers and reciters linking a student’s recitation back to the Prophetصلى الله عليه وسلم. Upon successful completion, students are awarded a Sanad certificateand recognised as a Mujeez — someone authorised to teach and grant Ijāzah to others.
الإِسْنَادُ مِنَ الدِّيْنِ، وَلَوْلَا الإِسْنَادُ لَقَالَ مَن شَاءَ مَا شَاءَ
“The chain of transmission (isnād) is part of the religion. If it were not for the isnād, anyone could say whatever they wished.”
‘Abdullāh ibn al-Mubārak (رحمه الله)
