- Background Checks & Recruitment
- All UK-based teachers and staff working with minors are required to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checksbefore employment.
- Teachers must provide verifiable references and proof of qualifications.
- Safeguarding training is mandatory for all staff before engaging with students.
- Reporting and Handling Safeguarding Concerns
- Any concerns regarding child safety must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
- If a child is at immediate risk of harm, emergency services (999) must be contacted.
- Safeguarding concerns should be documented and reported confidentially.
- Aani Academy will take appropriate action in collaboration with safeguarding authorities if necessary.
- Code of Conduct for Teachers, Students, and Parents
- Teachers:Must act professionally, maintain appropriate boundaries, and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Students:Expected to engage respectfully with teachers and peers, with zero tolerance for bullying or harassment.
- Parents:Must respect teachers’ roles and report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL.
- Online Safety Measures
- All online classes are conducted via secure platforms with monitored access.
- Teachers and students must not share personal contact details outside the platform.
- Screen-sharing and chat functions must be used responsibly.
- Parents/guardians are encouraged to supervise younger children during online lessons.
